About Tom Walsham
I am an English chap, brought up in sunny Cambridge, and now
relocated to Canada. Having completed a Philosophy
degree at Bristol, and worked for a while in computing, I went off to
Guatemala for a year, where I met Cathy Gee, who has recently agreed against
her better judgement to be my wife :-)
I am currently living with her,
our Guatemalan import dog - Cosita, and our two cats, Coogan (named after Steve
Coogan) and Sigmund (was originally Sigourney until a gender reassessment forced the name change.
I am now working as a web designer / application developer / admin for a small firm, and also teach
evening classes on subjects such as HTML, CSS and other computer-related subjects.
I have varied interests - football, Spanish, travel, coffee, wine, fine beer, plentiful beer, films
(particularly of Japanese origin at the moment)
My current computery interests include attempting some 3D with blender, and develping
my Web design skills. Languages of choice at the moment are PHP/MySQL, Perl/CGI, Flash
Actionscript and am currently trying to jump on the bandwagon that is AJAX. I am also trying to
create excuses to test out Python and Ruby, and to work out why people keep telling me I should.
That is all for now. To contact me, you can email me at tom_walsham@yahoo.com
